We, Shari and Sheena, have a combined 43 years of equine experience in Western, English, Australian, and General Horsemanship. We began owning and training our own horses in high school and have continued ever since. Our Senior Exhibition projects for high school were focused on training young horses. Our first horse joined us directly from the racetrack and became our Arabian cow horse.
We enjoy assisting others in their non-competitive equine pursuits.
We are twin sisters who have always been best friends and share our love of horses. Some of our earliest memories involving equines are riding our uncle's roping horses.

While at SS Ranch 77, you will probably see our young Rottweiler ranch puppy. He is learning the ropes here and enjoys meeting new people. He also loves to share what he finds on the property, check out www.rogerandco.blogspot.com.

Serita is the newest horse to join the herd on August 9, 2020. She came to us as a 6-month-old filly. She looks forward to rides under the Western saddle and is learning to understand the rein cues. Her training sessions focus on moving away from pressure and regulating her speed. She is consistently more comfortable with loud noises and movement above her head with a future goal of carrying a flag!
Soot joined the herd on July 20, 2019. He is a mix of several breeds, Brabant and Percheron (2 draft breeds), and Drum horse. Soot is definitely the tallest horse in the barn at over 17 hands. He continues to learn bridle cues and will soon be joining the lessons program. He also enjoys pulling, with the ultimate goal of wagon rides!
Shine joined the herd on October 1, 2016. He was just 6 months old when we started training him. To date, Shine has been ridden English, Western, and bareback as well as logging many groundwork sessions. He has enjoyed assisting with lessons for the past year, and continues to grow in that area. He is good with beginners and intermediates alike!
Prior Trainee:
Seyvilla became the start of SS Ranch 77 training. She came from the race track at 2 1/2 years old where she logged several trips around the track. Many hours were spent refocusing her energy.
She enjoyed barrels, pole bending, and trail rides, but we know her best as Our Arabian Cow Horse. See the YouTube video below.
Prior Trainee:
Another horse from the race track, Charmer joined us at 5 years old. We experienced additional challenges because he was a few years older and more "set in his ways." After training with us for 6 years, he moved on and became an easygoing trail horse.
In addition to our barn time, we also love reading, writing, and singing, as well as ballroom and line dancing.
We also love to plan parties! Check out our blog if you would like some tips on planning a party or if we could be a few extra hands for your get-together.
On the singing note, we also love to share our love of music. From Amazing Grace to many oldies and contemporary songs, let us know if you're interested in us being entertainment. We are more than happy to sing at weddings and celebration of life services, as well as any other event.
Please join us in the SS Ranch 77 barnyard, Saturday, May 4th @ 4 pm for our FREE Spring Concert.
